There are more reasons to vote than just selecting candidates in this year's May 3 primary election in Fort Wayne.  Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) is asking voters to decide whether to spend millions of dollars on school improvements, renovations, and repairs.  Don't think this has an effect on you?  Education is said to affect economic growth, lower crime rates, decrease poverty, increase community engagement, and create a better overall sense of well-being.

Young Leaders Northeast Indiana is proud to host a voters forum to provide information about Fort Wayne Community Schools Repair FWCS Phase 2 proposal.  The proposal will provide improvements to student safety and learning environments at 42 schools, including major renovations in 10 buildings, safety improvements at 33 buildings, parent pick-up lanes at five buildings and air conditioning in all schools currently without cooling systems.

Join us on Tuesday, March 29 at 5:30 pm to 7 pm to hear the facts and ask questions about how this proposal impacts you.  The event will be held at the 1st Source Bank Building (200 E Main St #100, Fort Wayne, IN 46802) in the Ventura Room, and is free to attend.

They are also looking for volunteers to help with the set-up of bouts at the Coliseum - most of this work would involve helping set up the track, officials, visiting teams, stats, merchandise, ticketing, announcers, equipment, etc. Bout dates are February 20th, April 2nd and April 30th. YLNI My City Summit, Redefining Community Engagement

We are seeking your valuable input as we begin to plan for the 2016 My City Summit. We want the Summit to be a vehicle for emerging leaders, like yourselves, to be able to address issues with our community and bring discussions to a table of diverse participants.

Therefore we are looking for your input on real topics that are most pressing to our city and region. We will be using a group brainstorming technique to discuss topics brought to the table by you and determine if they are within YLNI's mission of attraction, development, and retention to ultimately inspire the next Summit's theme and agenda.

The meeting will be located on the first floor of the Fifth Third building in the Ventura Room located in the back of the building past the elevators. Snack food and a cash bar will be provided. The room has limited space so arrive on time to secure your spot!
