I was caught with the toughest question at work today, "What are you going to get your boyfriend for Valentine's Day?" Wait, I have to get HIM something? I am a bit of a Valentine's Day novice, but I thought it was just an excuse to go out on a fancy date and remind people that you love them.
While I don't have anything against Valentine's Day traditions specifically , I can be a bit of a cynic about the holiday. Perhaps it's because, like most 20-something women, I've had my fair share of Valentine's Day mishaps. But there is something to be said about a holiday centered around love and happiness.
There is no shortage of sumptuous dining destinations here in Fort Wayne, (if I got to pick, I'd choose Cork 'N Cleaver), but reservations will likely fill up quickly with Valentine's being on a Friday this year. But in my opinion, you can't go wrong with a nice bottle of wine, some chocolate (DeBrand, of course), and a dozen roses (hint hint).
