Giang Petroviak

Vice President, Social Programming

Giang Petroviak is the New Student Programs Assistant Director at Purdue University Fort Wayne, where she oversees and executes the development, planning, and implementation of programming for all incoming students. 

Born in Vietnam, she moved to the United States at the age of two and raised in Fort Wayne. Giang is a Northrop High School graduate and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University and her master’s degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana State University. After moving away from Fort Wayne for eight years, Giang came back to the Summit City in 2018 and is an involved community member. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Ball State Northeastern Indiana Alumni Chapter, Executive Member of the Ball State Young Alumni Council, Chapter Advisor for the Zeta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority, and Director at Large on the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana Board.

Giang is a 2019 YLNI Leadership Institute graduate and is the former Co-Chair of the Social Programming Committee and Chair of the Community Leaders Roundtable. 

During her free time, Giang enjoys traveling, trying all the fantastic restaurant’s Fort Wayne has to offer with her Fort Wayne transplant husband. She is also a proud dog mom and manages her dog’s Instagram account, which is currently at 1,255 followers.
