The Foellinger Foundation established the Leadership Awards to celebrate nonprofit board and staff members who champion opportunities for Allen County residents. These awards shine a light on individuals whose leadership, integrity, and commitment help strengthen our community and the organizations that serve it.
This year, Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) is proud to have two remarkable nominees representing both our board and our staff — a testament to the shared values and leadership excellence at the heart of our organization.
Ian Broad-White, Immediate Past President of YLNI, has been nominated for Foellinger Foundation’s Nonprofit Board Member Leadership Award. This recognition honors a board member who demonstrates measurable impact in at least three of four key areas: governance, leadership, financial sustainability, and program impact. Ian’s vision, strategic direction, and commitment to advancing YLNI’s mission have helped position our organization for long-term success and deeper community engagement.
Ashley Wagner, YLNI Farmers Market Manager, has been nominated for Foellinger Foundation’s Nonprofit Staff Leadership Award. This award recognizes a staff member who exemplifies adaptive and sustainable leadership—executing and improving plans based on learning, fostering a positive organizational culture, and actively engaging both stakeholders and the community. Ashley’s 15 years of dedication to the Market have helped grow it into one of the region’s most vibrant and inclusive community spaces.
Both Ian and Ashley embody the spirit of leadership that defines YLNI: empowering others, strengthening community connections, and driving positive change. Their work demonstrates that leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about service, collaboration, and creating opportunities that benefit everyone.
